The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and its member state boards of pharmacy are planning to enhance several of its examination and assessment programs to better reflect the evolving practice of pharmacy. Changes will begin in November 2015.
A new coalition has formed to ensure safe access to over-the-counter pain relief remedies. The Protecting Access to Pain Relief Coalition officially launched on June 22 to help ensure that American consumers continue to have access to, and choice of, safe and effective pain relief, including acetaminophen.
To help independent pharmacy owners better understand the fast-growing, uber-complex specialty pharmacy business, the National Community Pharmacists Association last month hosted a day-long forum, “Exploring the intersection of specialty medications, community pharmacy and patient care.”
