Inquisitr is reporting that a team of medical researchers may have found an off-label use for metformin. According to the research, the drug, which is used to treat people with Type 2 diabetes, can extend a person’s lifespan to 120 years. The researchers are ready to test whether they can replicate in humans the same results they obtained in animal tests, with a 3,000-person study in the works for 2016.
