Piperlime moves from online to multichannel
NEW YORK — Online shop Piperlime, which is a division of Gap, recently celebrated the opening of its first full-scale retail location in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City.
Styled as a boutique, the 4,000-square-foot store immerses guests in the brand’s unique shopping experience with such trend vignettes as Ladylike, Color Clash, Girl on a Budget and Celebrity Guest Editor Picks. In-store, shoppers will find large screens on the wall that are set to the Piperlime website so they can browse online if the store doesn’t have an item in a particular color or size. Orders that are placed in-store via the website receive free overnight shipping.
“Today’s customers demand accessibility to their favorite brands across multiple channels,” stated Toby Lenk, president of Gap Inc. Direct, the division that houses the Piperlime brand. “The benefit of being part of one of the world’s best multichannel retailers is the ability to leverage the resources and experiences that have gone into creating the company’s unique and beloved shopping destinations, both online and in stores. We’re thrilled that Piperlime can now offer their customers the best of both worlds.”
