DEERFIELD, Ill. — Many suppliers and Walgreens executives recently gathered to celebrate the story of Walgreens’ transformation covered within the Sept. 24 issue of DSN. As part of the event, DSN donated $5,000 to the Walgreens Benefit Fund. Created in 1939, the fund is a tax-exempt charitable foundation designed to help employees who have experienced hardships caused by natural disasters, long illnesses, accidents and other situations.
