According to Grand Rapids, Mich. Fox affiliate Fox17, Meijer has opened a full retail pharmacy on the ground floor of the city’s Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. “This new pharmacy will make it more convenient in so many ways for our patients, visitors and employees,” the hospital group’s president, Christina Freese-Decker, said. “Meijer has been an exceptional community partner to Spectrum Health and their retail expertise is beneficial.” (Fox17)

Newsday on Friday reported a federal bankruptcy judge approved the sale of 74 pharmacies and assets to CVS Health and Rite Aid in a deal valued collectively at more than $31.4 million. "CVS will purchase the prescription records from 58 stores [and] Rite Aid will purchase the prescription records of 16 stores," the paper reported. (Newsday)
