In recognition of the increased risks that seniors have of developing health complications from the flu, pneumonia, shingles and other illnesses, CVS/pharmacy and MinuteClinic have declared September to be Senior Vaccination Month and will be working to raise awareness about the importance of vaccinations for their senior patients.
The first MinuteClinic locations in the Sacramento metropolitan area opened their doors on Wednesday inside select CVS/pharmacy stores in Sacramento and Elk Grove. A third clinic is slated to open in Fair Oaks in October.
