The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Safeway — which spent $350 million on clinics in over 800 stores meant to see Theranos blood tests that never took place — is looking to dissolve the unannounced partnership. Thereanos, though, denies this, telling the Journal that their story is “inaccurate and defamatory.” This is the latest in a string of blows to Theranos, whose blood testing technology is bring disputed and whose Walgreens expansion was recently placed on hold.
