MORRISTOWN, N.J. A generic drug maker has announced that Robert Stewart, a former Abbott executive, is joining its company in a newly created position.
Stewart was named SVP global operations Monday, the company said. He is responsible for global manufacturing, supply chain, quality and technical operations. He joins Watson following an eight-year career at Abbott Labs, where he most recently served as divisional VP global supply chain.
Meanwhile, the company also announced that Thomas Russillo, EVP and president of the generics division, has been named EVP global generics and will head the company's newly formed global generics commercial function. In this position, Russillo will have overall responsibility for generic sales and marketing for the United States and Canada, as well for all international markets that will be added to Watson following completion of the acquisition of the Arrow Group. Both Mr. Stewart and Mr. Russillo report to Watson president and CEO Paul Bisaro.
