Walgreens' 60-second spot places Balance Reward members on their path toward wellness

CHICAGO — Walgreens continues to associate its brand with all things "well" with an ad campaign released earlier this year to the retailer's YouTube page that links its Walk with Walgreens initiative to the company's Balance Rewards loyalty program. The 60-second spot features Alison Sweeney, host of NBC's "The Biggest Loser" and Walk with Walgreens spokeswoman, who explains how Balance Rewards members can use the program to log their fitness routines and weight loss. 

It's an example of how Walgreens' is creating market solutions that promote active engagement by providing a platform consumers can use to measure their progress. 

"Welcome to Walgreens' Balance Rewards, where the walking and running you do, and the weight you lose will earn you points you can redeem for just about anything you want in-store or online," Sweeney said. Balance Rewards members receive 20 rewards points for each mile logged and an additional 20 rewards points for each weigh-in entered.
