DALLAS —Frito-Lay continues its commitment to college football fans with a new, limited-edition football-shaped version of its classic tortilla chips. The game day-inspired chips’ hearty texture makes them naturals for dipping. The chips are available in 12-oz. bags and carry a suggested retail price of $3.99.
To promote the chips, Frito-Lay is rolling out college football-themed displays nationwide. In dozens of markets across the country, the displays are co-branded with local team logos as part of the Tostitos brand’s sponsorship of 37 college teams this year. The brand is a sponsor of the annual Fiesta Bowl.
Part of the brands’ promotional activity this year is a sweepstakes offering consumers the chance to win an array of prizes, among them two tickets to the 40th annual Fiesta Bowl in January.
