NEW YORK Fragrance supplier Firmenich has promoted Theo Spilka to vice president of new business development and licensing, international.
Previously, Spilka was vice president of fine fragrance sales and new business development at Firmenich. In this new role, Spilka is responsible for seeking new fragrance business and licensing opportunities in the United States, Europe and Latin America.
Although Spilka will focus on expanding business opportunities beyond fine fragrance, the areas he will oversee will remain linked to music, celebrities, designers, athletes and apparel brands. Some of the brands Spilka has helped to get fragrance deals with include Baby Phat, Usher, Tommy Bahama, Niki Taylor, Badgley Mischka, Izod and Zac Posen.
