MINNEAPOLIS — Target will introduce its Beauty Concierge program in more than two dozen stores around the nation's capital at the end of next month.
Target said it would roll out the program at 27 stores in Washington, Baltimore and northern Virginia on June 28. Participating stores will be staffed with a beauty concierge, a specially trained staff member who will be available to answer customers' questions in-store and provide them with personalized, detailed and unbiased information about beauty and personal care products offered at Target.
"Target is excited to offer this unique, special service to our Washington, D.C., northern Virginia and Baltimore area guests, guests whom we know are passionate about beauty," Target SVP stores Samir Shah said. "In an often crowded and sometimes daunting marketplace, Target's Beauty Concierge program ensures that guests receive the friendly, personalized assistance and counsel they need, while purchasing their favorite beauty products at affordable prices."
The chain plans to have the program running at about 190 stores this year, including 96 in Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif., 36 in Minneapolis and 41 more stores in Chicago.
