WATSONVILLE, Calif. — Nordic Naturals on Tuesday announced the company has earned certification from NSF International, verifying that its new Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design corporate headquarters complies with good manufacturing practices.
"NSF's exceptional commitment to public safety is in line with our own values and Nordic Naturals' mission to deliver pure, safe and effective omega oils worldwide,” stated Joar Opheim, Nordic CEO.
Along with its NSF certification, Nordic Naturals' new headquarters also is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design project and is slated for LEED Gold certification.
Nordic Naturals' former facility also was GMP certified, however, new certification was required when the company moved its headquarters in February. NSF audits businesses every six months in order to maintain their certification. Nordic Naturals' current GMP certification is available to view at NSF's website.
