ECRM appoints Joe Tarnowski to lead content development

SOLON, Ohio — Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing announced that it has appointed Joseph Tarnowski as VP and chief content officer to lead the development of its content platform.

“Joe’s business media background is perfectly aligned with ECRM’s vision of adding a content component to the existing events and digital platform we’ve developed to facilitate the buying process,” said Greg Farrar, CEO of ECRM. “His knowledge of the retail industry and experience in developing unique and compelling content across media platforms will extend our engagement with retail buyers and suppliers year-round.”

Tarnowski will create a content strategy and platform that provides retail buyers and suppliers information they need to optimize the buying process and will deliver this content to them when and how they want it via various platforms. The content will include research and insights from ECRM Data, the company's business intelligence division.

Tarnowski has more than 20 years of experience in business-to-business media, most recelty with Stagnito Business Information, where he was editor in chief of Progressive Grocer Independent, as well as editor of Progressive Grocer Tech. Tarnowski also produced content for such media brands as Convenience Store News, The Gourmet Retailer, RETAILTECH, and Foodservice Director.
