MILWAUKEE Carma Laboratories, makers of Carmex lip balm products, on Monday announced the winners of the “Share the Tingle” video contest.
A video entitled, “Share the Tingle with Caution,” created by Ryan Leer of Eden Prairie, Minn., took the grand prize. The winning video, selected from a total of 70 entries, used a Star Wars-like theme featuring the fictional “Carmex light saber.”
“We were thrilled with the variety and quality of the videos we received,” said Paul Woelbing, president of Carma Laboratories. “Contest participants showed us that Carmex is more than just a lip balm when it comes to our most ardent customers. There were many terrific, creative submissions and I especially enjoyed the winning video with its visual wit and attention to detail.”
Contest participants were asked to answer the question, “How do you share the Carmex tingle?” Judges looked for videos that had an entertaining premise, were filled with originality and were simply fun to watch.
As the top winner, Leer received a $5,000 grand prize, plus a Canon VIXIA HF100 flash memory high-definition camcorder and a five-year supply of Carmex lip balm.
In all, Carmex awarded nine prizes to video contest participants. In addition to the grand prize, three first-prize winners received a check for $500, a Canon VIXIA HF100 flash memory high-definition camcorder and a five-year supply of Carmex lip balm. Five second-prize winners were awarded a Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph Camera and a five-year supply of Carmex lip balm.
