PRINCETON, N.J. Novo Nordisk's website features new interactive enhancements, offering additional information and resources on diabetes. visitors now can get involved through various interactive features on the site, including:

  • Taking a diabetes risk assessment;
  • Checking out healthy recipes;
  • Showing support for Ask.Screen.Know. by making a promise to get screened; and
  • Sending a fun, personalized e-card to remind someone to get tested for diabetes.


To promote the new features, Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis and her husband, actor Louis Zorich, who has diabetes, teamed up with the website -- which was launched in May 2009 -- to help increase awareness about the benefits of a free diabetes screening, share their story and provide encouragement. Dukakis and Zorich also are featured on the new Ask.Screen.Know. Facebook page.

As previously reported by Drug Store News, Dukakis and Zorich appeared in public service announcements regarding diabetes awareness. The ads appeared in New York taxis and on CNN.
