NEW YORK While it has faced mixed reactions to its recent purchase by InBev, St. Louis-based brewer Anheuser-Busch hopes to win a few hearts by touting its environmental credentials in a series of advertisements featuring employees and distributors.
St. Louis-based Waylon Ads has created an advertising campaign for Anheuser-Busch to show its efforts save water and energy, use alternative fuels, recycle and conserve wildlife.
One advertisement has a manager talking about the company’s 109-year history of recycling leftover grain by feeding it to cattle. Another explains how some of the delivery trucks at a distribution center in Springfield, Mo., use propane instead of gasoline.
Anheuser-Busch was the world’s second largest brewer until its recent acquisition by Belgium-based InBev, the largest.
